Opening Ceremony x Classical Music
Fully Composed Men’s SS16 Collection

The obsession that the fashion industry has with music just doesn’t stop growing as New York based retailer Opening Ceremony has launched a range of classical music merchandise. It’s here to keep your wardrobe as culturally stimulated as your mind. Is there a better way to impress a girl/boy than showing them your varied music taste?

2015 was the year where music and fashion came together and the majority of celebrities were seen donning some form of band t-shirt, especially an oversized one (yeah, we’re looking at you Kanye West and Justin Bieber). It was the year where music merchandise wasn’t solely focusing on the band itself or the event it was promoting – it paid a lot more attention to the design of it. This upgraded the band t-shirt from the pajama section of the drawers to the t-shirt drawer or even potentially hanging up?

Thanks to Opening Ceremony you no longer have to only rely on your public Spotify playlist or constantly updated Soundcloud page to keep everyone in the known of what you’re digging. Opening Ceremony’s new range consists of sweats and shirts emblazoned with the infamous names of Beethoven, Bach, Tchaikovsky and Debussy. These will be items that both your friends and grandparents will be equally digging.

With obvious streetwear influences in the collection, it consists of bold graphics, highly stylized typography and vibrant colours. The Tchaikovsky t-shirt and sweater set reminds us of Gosha Rubchinskiy’s homage to his country within his simple designs.

You can shop the range, here.
