Dream, Don’t Sleep.
On the 1st January 2016, LWE will be throwing its infamous New Years Day party at Tobacco Docks, for the third year in a row. Taking over the grade-1 listed building this time will be Maceo Plex – otherwise known as Maetrik – with his Dream, Don’t Sleep concept.
The DJ and producer’s idea for the concept is to represent ‘the moment in the night where you have such an amazing time, where you feel that everything is kind of surreal. You’re happy and so in the moment, that you hit this point where you’re in a dream but you’re not sleeping’, he explains. It will be a one of a kind experience of constant euphoria, letting the audience into a world of trippy, dream-inducing, ambient techno.
Helping to bring the concept alive will be a live set from the co-founders of Innervisions, Âme, who is known for taking their audience on a spellbinding journey during their extended sets. Also taking to the decks will be Drumcode’s leading man and techno heavyweight Adam Beyer. Adding a 90s house influence to the bill are Belfast DJs, Bicep. Mano Le Tough will be making his Tobacco Docks debut.
Further additions to the line up are Tobacco Docks resident Anja Schneider, Paul Woolford, Ejeca and Citizenn.
